Administrative / Biographical History

The National Joint Committee of Postal and Telegraph Associations (NJCPTA) was formed in 1896, comprising the Postal Telegraph Clerks' Association, the Fawcett Association, the United Kingdom Postal Clerks' Association and the Post Office Engineering and Stores Association. It represented the interests of the Post Office trade unions until the establishment of Whitleyism.
