Administrative / Biographical History

Bangor City Literary and Debating Society was founded in 1921, its first secretary was Mr. G. Thompson. The Society met on a weekly basis, organised debates and lectures on a wide range of social, political and general interest topics. Latterly, meetings were held at the School of Engineering of the University of Wales, Bangor.

Arrangement

Material is arranged according to record type, then in chronological order and incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts .
