This collection contains: bound copy of Investigation Report, comprising reports on seventeen works, with forty appendices; file of retraced and reprinted original drawings; Summarising Report: narrative, with expression of opinion.

Administrative / Biographical History

These papers derive from British Intelligence Objectives Sub-committee Trip No.1281 to investigate and report on the German motor cycle industry in the British and US Occupation Zones, October 1945. Participants were A.E. Wood (BSA), J. Craig (Associated Motors), L.W. Farrer (Villiers Engineering) and C.R.B. Smith (Amal Ltd).
