Scope and Content

In consideration of 24s in gressum, Adam, sometime servant of Master Richer de Fuldon, confirms his gift to William de Sancr', of a piece of land held of Walter Bigge, lying between the land of John Hore, and the free lands of the church of St Nicholas held by the said John, abutting on the highway to the south, and on pasture of the said John Hore to the north. He also grants an annual rent of 4d owed by Mazalena, and another of 2d. The land is to be held of Walter Bigge. Annual quit-rent of 6d, paid quarterly, is reserved to Walter Bigge for all services. Witnessed by Henry de Bosco, Richard son of Ralph, John de Sancr', Richard? Piccot, Henry Bucel, Robert his son, Henry le ?Por, Thomas Kyndel, Henry Offe, and many others. Tag and seal wanting. Fifteenth-century endorsement with note of rent. Further endorsed: '+'.
