Scope and Content

John Marriott Varnam of Chatteris, farmer, stands bound to Robert Grimditch of Chatteris, gent, in #154 to perform fully a surrender bearing even date of his four acres (vere more than ten acres) of pasture and other land in Croload, manor of Chatteris Ramsey, to the use of Grimditch and his heirs (Doc 1736). Grimditch has paid Varnam #77. Signed and sealed by John Varnam, witnessed by Freeman Cawthorn and John Orton, duty stamps.
