Administrative / Biographical History

Archibald Fleming founded Archibald Fleming & Co , Glasgow, Scotland, in 1891  . Originally the firm was involved in importing Irish butter and later New Zealand dairy products, but after 1952  they started marketing Scottish eggs. In 1960  ; the firm became a limited company as Archibald Fleming & Co Ltd . In 1972  , Homestead Eggs was established as an agricultural co-operative with the company as managers.
