Papers of William H. Potts, Charles H. N. Jackson and Bernard D. Burtt

Scope and Content

The collection mainly consists of papers relating to the work of William Herbert Potts in the Department of Tsetse Research in Shinyanga (includes diaries, correspondence, reports, data, statistics and printed material, 1920s-1950s). Also, letters home (1927-1932) from C.H.N. Jackson, and diaries (1925-1937) of B.D. Burtt.

William Herbert Potts: born 1900, entomologist; Charles Herbert Newton Jackson, born 1905, scientist; and Bernard Dearman Burtt, 1902-1938, botanist, all worked at the Department of Tsetse Research in Shinyanga, Tanganyika.
