Administrative / Biographical History

The Ayrshire Employers' Mutual Insurance Association Ltd , was incorporated in 1898  . The association, made up of colliery owners and coal masters from the Ayrshires, aimed to indemnify its members against compensation claims made by employees. It went into voluntary liquidation in 1957  .
