At a Court Baron of Lancelot Brown, esq., lord of the Manor, before Thomas Johnson, gent., deputy steward of John Edison, gent., chief steward...it is enrolled...That on 22 Dec. last [1773] Christopher Gunnell, yeoman, of Swavesey, Cambs., customary tenant, surrendered by the hands of James Brittin and John Ulph, 20 acres in Fenstanton and another messuage, and 13 acres formerly Thody's, all which were late the estate of Robert Gunnell, and before that of Christopher Ashton, and 6 acres late of Mary Ashton and all other copyhold of him and Gunnell, to the use of John Eaton, merchant, of Fenstanton...which said John Eaton is here is Court...is admitted. Signed by Thos. Johnson, Deputy Steward.
