Administrative / Biographical History
H. C. Hillmann left Germany in the 1930s and worked in the Foreign Office Research Department during World War II, as an expert on German economic affairs. In 1948 he became a lecturer in the School of of Economic Studies at the University of Leeds. He retired in 1976
