Political and personal correspondence, including letters from most leading political figures of the time, Lord Salisbury and Joseph Chamberlain among them. Letters to and from Gerald Fitzgibbon shed much light on Churchill's own career.

The collection was formerly in Blenheim Palace Library. It was purchased by the Library in 1994.
