William Jacks & Co were iron and steel merchants and brokers who operated in Glasgow from 1880 until the early twentieth century. The company had many of Glasgow's industrial and business elite on its board, and as well as Glasgow, the company also held premises in Middlesbrough, Sheffield and London.

The company's founder, William Jacks, was awarded an honorary LLD degree from the University of Glasgow in 1899 and subsequently bequeathed £20,000 to the University to create the William Jacks Chair in Modern Languages.
