Philip H.C. Clarke (b 1918) was educated at Whitgift (Trinity) School, Croydon and the London School of Economics, London University, undertaking military service, 1939-1946 (Major). He served as education officer, Tanganyika, 1947-1965. He also worked in Zambia, [1969-1971].
