Scope and Content

Martin Folkes, esq., of Cheveley, Cambs., acknowledges that his is bound to Edward Ventrius, esq., of Sproughton, Suffolk, for £1400. Conditions of repayment etc. to a tripartite indenture between John [Jeaftreson?], esq., of Clopton, Suffolk, and his eldest son and heir. Christopher [Jeaftreson?], esq., of Dullingham, Cambs., of the 1st part, Martin Folkes of the 2nd, and Edward Ventrius of the 3rd part. Signed by Martin Folkes, with seal attached. Witnessed by Thomas Histed and Ellen Histed.
