Nicholas Blake became a barrister in 1974 and a Queen's Counsel in 1994. In May 2000 he was a founder member of the Matrix Chambers law practice and in 2002 he became a Deputy High Court Judge.
He specialised in public law, criminal justice, human rights, immigration and asylum and private international law.
In 2007 he was appointed a High Court Judge of the Queen's Bench Division and assigned to the Administrative Court.
