Administrative / Biographical History

The Engineers' and Managers' Association (EMA) was a federal body set up by the Electrical Power Engineers' Association (EPEA) on 7 April 1977. The EPEA (renamed the Engineers' and Managers' Association for Electrical Power Engineers and Executive Professional Engineers in 1990) remained as an autonomous group within the EMA representing all staff in the electricity supply industry until 1993. In 1993 the federal structure of the EMA was unified.
