Wicksteed.

Administrative / Biographical History

The collection includes autographs of Aleardo Aleardi (1812-78), poet; Luisa Bccara (1892-1985), pianist; Cesare Foligno (1878-1965), Taylor Lecturer in Italian; Giuseppe Garibaldi (1807-82), guerilla fighter; Paolo Giannoli (fl 1955); Filippo Tommaso Marinetti (1876-1944), futurist writer; Pietro Metastasio (1698-1782), poet and librettist; Jules de Sivrai (fl 1868), composer; Peter Melville Brown (fl 1953); Sir John Rigby Hale (1923-99), Renaissance historian and public servant; ?Philip H. Wicksteed (1844-1927), English economist with an interest in Dante scholarship; and Giuseppe Ungaretti (1888-1970), poet.

Arrangement

The manuscripts are arranged alphabetically by author, except where the subject is deemed to be more important.
