Administrative / Biographical History
Dolobran house and estate is in the township of Cerist, Mallwyd, Merionethshire, and was inherited by John David Lewis (fl. 1735-1758). His son, David Davies (fl. 1758-1779), sold Dolobran to Rowland Evan of Rallt, Cemmaes, Montgomeryshire. His descendants farmed there and also ran a woollen factory. Evan Evans (fl. 1860-1877) of Dolobran purchased several farms locally in 1877.
