Administrative / Biographical History

The East Midlands Region of the Labour Party was founded in 1942. For many years Jim Cattermole was the Regional Organiser. The organisation coordinated election campaigns, organised policy discussions on local issues and held selection conferences.

Acquisition Information

This collection was deposited in the Centre by Professor Anderson in 1973 and the family of George Deer in 1974.
