The circulating magazine of the Evesham Friendly Literary Society containing items contributed by a circle of friends. The rules of the society, signatures of the founding members and the Secretary's first address are to be found at the front of the first volume. The magazine was circulated monthly.

Administrative / Biographical History
The first Secretary of the Society was Herbert New, an Evesham solicitor. In 1848 a later signatory to the list of members was William Henry Herford (1820-1908) the educationalist who the same year married Elizabeth Anne Davis of Evesham who was also a member of the Society.
