The collection forms part of the archive of the British Clothing Industry Association (MSS.222), in which the records of various predecessor and related organisations are contained.

Administrative / Biographical History

The OMA was formed in July 1940 for the furtherance of the interests of all firms engaged in the manufacturer of overalls and protective clothing. It became the Workwear Section of the British Clothing Industry Association on 1 January 1982.
