The broadcasts of Richard Crossman

Scope and Content

This collection contains almost all of the transcripts and texts produced by Richard Crossman MP, for his regular radio broadcasts from the 1930s to the 1960s. They are part of the larger collection of papers of Richard Crossman, held at the Modern Records Centre. As a Labour backbench MP and later as a Cabinet Minister, Crossman was a regular broadcaster and guest speaker covering a wide range of topics of national and international political and social interest. These transcripts include talks on Germany and the rise of Hitler and fascism, British domestic politics, post war European recovery and the politics of the Middle East and Israel.
