This collection has been built up over a number of years and presented to the Modern Records Centre by Richard Storey (the Centre's Archivist 1973-97; contributor to the DBB and Oxford DNB and a contributing editor of the Companion to British Road Haulage History (Science Museum, 2003); member of the Commercial Vehicle & Road Transport Club, the Railway & Canal Historical Society, the Roads & Road Transport History Association and the Society of Automotive Historians, hon. associate member of the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain). Although the collection contains some items relating to public road passenger transport, its main concentration is on commercial vehicles and it provided source material for a number of Companion entries. Additions are made on an ongoing basis.
