• printed pamphlets, 1918-[40], including W.L. Hichens The functions of government in relation to industry (London: 1918), and Harold Macmillan The state and industry (London: 1932).

William Lionel Hichens (1874-1940) was an industrialist and businessman. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.
