Campaigners is a evangelist Christian movement founded in 1922 by Colin Kerr. Campaigners was initially organised into local 'clans' of girls and boys aged 11 years of age and older. Each clan consisted of 75 children, and was further divided into 8 groups, each with their own name. Children were also divided by age into Intermediates (11 to 16 years of age), and Craftsmen (16 years of age plus). Each clan was administered by a adult Chief, who organised activities aimed to improving the physical, mental and spiritual health of the children. This included drill, prayer and 'campaign subjects'. Each 'campaign' lasted three months, during which time subjects such as home-nursing, first aid and skipping were studied. At the end of the campaign, each child was tested, and those with a mark of 80% or more would receive a campaign ribbon. The motto of the Campaigners is 'Unto Him', marking the members commitment to Jesus Christ.
