Scope and Content

Recites and enlarges upon Doc 1860. It is now further agreed between Austin Reynolds of Cambridge, baker, and Elizabeth his wife (1st parties), John West of St Ives, gent, and Elizabeth his wife (2nd parties), Uriah Ranew of Impington, husbandman, and Mary his wife (3rd parties), and John Perne of Cambridge esq and John Patterson of Cambridge, linen-draper (4th parties), that the Newnham property shall be held to the use of Perne and his heirs, that in Great St Mary's parish to the use of Patterson and his heirs, and that in Impington to the use of Thomas York of Cambridge, labourer, and his heirs. Four-part indenture, signed and sealed by all parties [Mary Ranew makes mark], witnessed by Richard Penson, Robert Carrow, Ann Crosley, and [the mark of] Richard Northup. Endorsed: 'Newnham Estate 1704' and in a later hand: 'Angell Inn'.
