Scope and Content

A wide range of business and family papers, including legal documents and correspondence. The collection includes material relating to various members of the Lucas family. These include Philip Monoux Lucas, a partner in a number of companies, who resided in the West Indies, c. 1802-1810, and subsequently lived in London; James Lucas of Elm Wood, Hertfordshire; and George Lucas of Marylebone Road, London.
