Acknowledges an invitation to the anniversary dinner of the Royal Academy and an invitation from the Athenaeum Club (9 April 1873). (2) To J W Chesson, 5 Tite Street, Chelsea, London SW. Agreeing that Chess on was 'right in asking the Associated people ... [for] a verbatim report of the Duke of Argyll's speech'. Accepts an invitation to breakfast on Saturday.
Both items are written in another hand and signed by Field.
