The collection comprises theatre programmes and photocopies of programmes produced for NewTheatre productions between 2001 and 2003.

Administrative / Biographical History

New Theatre at the University of Nottingham has its roots in the student's Dramatic Society(DramSoc) that began in 1927 and continued into the 1980s. The theatre was set up in the early 1970sand a student Theatre Group ran in parallel with DramSoc to assist in set building, administrationand stage management. This group was later renamed the Theatre Production Group. The theatreproduces on average three shows each term and often sends two productions to the Edinburgh FringeFestival.
