Administrative / Biographical History

This organisation was founded in 1963 as a coalition of movements whose aims were "to promote the peaceful resolution of conflicts, human rights and civil liberties, liberation from colonial regimes, [and] economic equality between developing and developed countries."

Acquisition Information

These records were received in a deposit from the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND). Peggy Duff served as general secretary of CND from 1958 to 1966 and then as general secretary of ICDP.
