Scope and Content

Letters and papers of B.H. Streeter concerning his work on chained libraries, and the restoration of the chained library in Hereford cathedral. The collection includes photographs, drawings and plans of chained libraries and their fittings.

Burnett Hilman Streeter (1874-1937) was Canon of Hereford and a biblical scholar. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.
