Administrative / Biographical History

The Scottish Carters' Association was founded in 1898. In 1908 it changed its name to the Scottish Horse and Motormen's Association. In 1964 the name was again changed to the Scottish Commercial Motormen's Union. It transferred engagements to the Transport and General Workers' Union in 1971.
