Administrative / Biographical History

An orthopaedic surgeon, Venters was Director of Information Services, Lothian Health Board from 1974 to 1992, and later Chairman of the British Medical Association's Public Health Committee. Recently he has worked as a Public Health Medicine consultant in Lanrkshire, and was involved in the development of Scottish Health on the Web, available at http://www.show.scot.nhs.uk.
