Administrative / Biographical History
Sir George Bowyer, bart., was born in 1811 at Radley near Oxford, and studied law at the Middle Temple. In 1838 he published a 'Dissertation on the Statutes of the Cities of Italy'. He was an MP 1852-68 and 1874-80. He died in June 1883.
