Administrative / Biographical History
Tom Litterick was born and lived in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. He became the Labour MP for Selly Oak, Birmingham in 1974, successfully winning the previously Conservative seat. He lost the seat however in the 1979 General Election. He was most well known for his speech at the Labour Party Conference of 1979 criticising ex-Prime Minister James Callaghan.
