Papers of Reverend Eric Read

Documents relating to churches in Zambia and Rhodesia, including: correspondence, circulars, reports, press clippings and church magazines and publications relating to the United Church of Central Africa in Rhodesia, the Mindolo Ecumenical Centre and Foundation in Zambia, material concerning the Canadian Committee for Zimbabwe.

Reverend Eric Read, BA, BD, was a missionary who served under the Board of Overseas Missions of the United Church of Canada. Based in Kitwe, North Rhodesia (now Zambia), and serving in Northern Rhodesia with his wife, he was part of the United Church of Central Africa in Rhodesia and Clerk of Synod.

Records are open to the public, subject to the overriding provisions of relevant legislation, including data protection laws.
