Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The Traders' Co-ordinating Committee on Transport was founded in 1921, originally to co-ordinate users' responses to railway companies' merchandise classification proposals. It extended its interests to road and inland waterway transport. It was administered by the Federation of British Industries (FBI) Transport Section. It joined with other organisations to form the Freight Transport Association in 1969.
