Two letters written by Rev. William Hughes whilst vicar of Llanuwchllyn to A. H. Wood. In them, he refers to the publication of part iii of A history of the church of the Cymry, from the earliest period to the present time.

Administrative / Biographical History
As well as being a member of the clergy, William Hughes was also a prolific writer. Born in Bangor, Gwynedd in 1849, the son of a seaman, he received his education at St. David's College, Lampeter. He went on to become curate of Glasinfryn, Caernarfonshire, and later, in 1880, became vicar of Llanuwchllyn, Merioneth. He died in 1920.
Amongst his published works are, Byr hanes yr Esgob William Morgan : cyfieithydd y Bibl Cyssegr-lan i'r iaith Gymraeg, 1887 and Life of the Rev. Thomas Charles, B.A., Bala, 1909.
