Acquisition Information
The volume, bound with Thomas Rutherforth's Ordo institutionum physicarum (1743), was given to Askew by Thomas Wrangham (1723-77) of Emmanuel College in 1745. Wrangham possibly received it from John Fortune (1710-77) of St. John's College, Cambridge. Askew gave the volume to his younger brother Henry Askew (1730-96) in 1750, when Henry matriculated at Emmanuel. Transferred to the Manuscripts department from the Rare Books Department, 1995.
