Austrian Anschluss: Papers relating to a TV documentary

Scope and Content

The Austrian Anschluss papers, 1980s, comprise records created during the making of a documentary about the Anschluss and most notably comprise transcripts of interviews of a variety of people who experienced the Austrian Anschluss (1938) ranging from modern well-known personalities, former resistance members, former Nazis and diplomats, c 1987 (1057/1-2). The remainder of the collection includes notes on the programme design, biographical notes and cuttings on the interviewees c 1987 (1057/3-9).

Administrative / Biographical History

These papers were created during the course of the making of a film about the Austrian Anschluss (1938), which was shown on the German television station, ZDF, in 1988.
