Whereas the Master, Fellows and Scholars of Peterhouse, Cambridge, by Indenture dated 16 March 1808 let to Rev. Samuel Hunt of Stamford, Lincs., certain land in the manor of Chewells, Haddenham, for a term of twenty-one years with the proviso that the lessee might not alienate without the written licence of the lessors; the Master, Fellows and Scholars of Peterhouse grant special licence to Samuel Hunt to let the premises to Thomas Nix the younger of Somersham, Hunts., and William Nix the younger of Coveney, Cambs., provided that Thomas Nix and William Nix execute a bond for payment of rents and performance of covenants.
