This collection includes: minutes, reports and related papers; annual conference records; membership records; newsletters; registers of research; Central Arbitration Committee awards concerning industrial disputes.

Administrative / Biographical History

The British Universities Industrial Relations Association (BUIRA) was established in 1950 as the Inter-University Study Group in Industrial Relations. It changed its name to the University Industrial Relations Association in 1951, and adopted its current name in 1967. It exists to further the academic study of industrial relations.
