Mandatory Fields

The Hub descriptions are based on the fields used in an ISAD(G) description. We require you to include the six standard ISAD(G) mandatory fields and also information on access conditions, the scope of the materials (which may be very brief) and the language of the materials. In addition, we need the name of your repository.

Do not leave a mandatory field blank. If insufficient information is available, add an appropriate comment such as "Unknown", "Not catalogued" or "None".

The EAD Editor includes validation of your descriptions, and it will prompt you to fill in the mandatory fields.
