Papers of the Adler family

Scope and Content

The papers include a small account book of Chief Rabbi Hermann Adler, 1877-82; a letter from Dr Adler, 27 Feb 1911, giving instructions about his death and advice about a successor; a letter to Dr Adler acknowledging the cheque for his son's articles of clerkship, 6 Jan 1887; and a letter from Jacob Epstein to Mr Adler, 1923.

The principal collection of Adler papers is in the library of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, New York.
