Administrative / Biographical History
Kenneth Hotham Vickers (1881-1957) was educated at Oundle and Exeter College, Oxford. He was Lecturer in History, University College, Bristol, 1905-8; Organiser and Lecturer in London History for the London County Council, 1907-9; Tutor to the University of London Joint Committee for Tutorial Classes, 1908-13; Professor of Modern History in Armstrong College, University of Durham, 1913-22; Secretary of the University of Durham Schools Examinations, 1919-22; and Principal of University College, Southampton, 1922-46.
