Note
The collection includes material on The Scott's Shipbuilding and Engineering Company Ltd, which begun in 1711 by John Scott, the Scott's Shipbuilding company was the first shipbuilding company in the world. It also has information relating to The Royal Institution of Naval Architects which was founded in 1860 and is an internationally renowned professional institution whose members are involved at all levels in the design, construction, repair and operation of ships, boats and marine structures.
