Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
John Cable was admitted to Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh in 1883. He was licensed to practice surgery and pharmacy by the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow in 1883 and obtained a diploma in midwifery in the same year. Susan Anderson Ewen studied at the University of St Andrews in 1886 and 1887. Minnie Cable obtained a certificate in Pitman's shorthand from the Phonetic Institute, Bath, in 1923.
