Administrative / Biographical History

Dr Henry C. Williamson (d 1949) graduated from St Andrews University in 1892. He spent five years in Canada investigating the migratory movements of salmon for the Canadian government and thereafter returned to Scotland to continue his research at University College, Dundee. He was a member of staff of the Fishery Board's research station at Aberdeen and made a life-long study of fish and crustacea. He was a fellow of the Royal Society. He died in Dundee in December 1949.
