Notes taken from Sir John Halliday Croom's lectures on midwifery c.1890, Sir Alexander Russell Simpson's lectures on midwifery and gynaecology 1891-1892, Professor Francis M. Caird's lectures on surgery 1891-1892.

Administrative / Biographical History

George Halley was born in Dundee in 1867 and was educated at Clifton College, Dundee Institution and Broughty Ferry School. He took his MA in 1887 and studied medicine at Edinburgh University between 1888 and 1892. He then seems to have returned to Dundee and is listed in the Dundee Directory at Nethergate, and later Airlie Place between 1897 and 1909.
