The material consists of: a letter to Waldie from the Duke of Leeds about the wall at Hendersyde Park, 1844; lectures taken down, 1798-1800; correspondence addressed to Waldie including verses The tears of Scotland, Elegy on the death of Mrs. Waldie, Charade by Lord Minto, Charade by Lady Minto, Charade by Lord J. Russell, and Charade by Lady J. Russell; and, material relating to a tour to Italy including an itinerary of social engagements from 16 November 1844 to 27 April 1845, and a list of deaths in Rome of acquaintances or friends from April 1837 to November 1845.
